I am a farmer who raise ducks and cows. The animals have a total of 9 heads and 26 feet. How many ducks and cows do I have?

See - I know how to solve this, cos you'd use quadratic equations. Unfortunately I've forgotten how to solve quadratic equations.
I still might have a go though.
Or I might just do it through trial and error.
4 Cows and 5 Ducks = 9 heads, and 26 feet. Unless one of the ducks is that 4-legged one that hit the news a while back.

7:30p.m.
Because I'm usually about to feed my growling tum, can settle down and watch an hour of t.v. and know that I've done everything for the day, including a gym session. And I know that I have a full 12 hours before I am back in the office.

That you should never buy something you can't afford. Admittedly we have got a mortgage and a car loan, but both our families instilled in us the fear of being in debt, so we don't have massive amounts on credit cards, and we always clear the balance at the end of every month.
We also save like crazy to make sure that we are prepared for unexpected costs (broken boilers, car accidents etc.) and also we save for holidays and nice things for our home.
Ever since I was 13, I've worked, so that I've never been in debt to anyone, and if I wanted something I worked hard and saved up for it.
Although I haven't lived my life exactly as he would have wanted in these instances, I am proud that we've never got ourselves into trouble financially, and I only hope I can instill my children with the doctrine that you should never spend beyond your means.
I'm just incredibly lucky that all the things we want/would like, we can eventually afford to buy. Mind you, we have pretty inexpensive tastes as well!
