Okay
So I pigged out on baked goods... but I managed 6 miles last night. The last mile was a bit of a struggle, and I felt nauseous afterwards, but was really pleased that I made it.
I know I'll probably not run as well on Wednesday though, as I seem to do one good run, then one or two not so good. It's still weirding me out to think that only a few months ago I was running 8-10 miles in an evening, and 3 times a week with no difficulty. But I have no answer to that, only that I have to be patient to get my distance back up, and sometimes push myself a little harder than I do.
I have a 5k race on the 1st June, and then a 10k the following weekend. I need these to keep me focused until I can get back up to the sort of distances I was doing and contemplate entering another half marathon. There are a few at the end of the year, so we shall see.
Hayfever is kicking in - although not as bad as previous years, when I would have eyes gummed together that were crazily itchy. So far, I've just had the odd sneezes.
Workwise, I had some good feedback that has given me the confidence to tell my boss that I want to stay in the role I'm in, but that I want to develop it, both in terms of what I am learning and delivering, but also in terms of financial potential. We shall see. Sadly, one of my buddies has been offered a great opportunity back at her old company. She joined around the same time as me, and was also a true Insights person, with the same frustrations as me. It's a great thing for her, but I'll miss her.
